I have around 25 k battles with 56% win rate ( SEA). Been Playing this game for quite some time now and i feel finally Frontline mode is a change towards the good for a lot of reasons.Why i feel this game mode is exciting is a multitude of Reasons.Staying away from 3-5-7 mm as bottom tier ( feelsgoodman ), No seriously playing Same tier mm is like the best thing you can hope for, though some might argue that the tier balancing around tanks like scorpion, defender etc do not exist.A big map, So you have the ability to flank around, switch sectors, spawn in areas of need etc. This is such a refreshing change from the corridor map fughts which is now World of Tanks ( also i like the fact that are actuallly way less bushes than i anticipated and thank god No sniper campfest, Recon skill helps it out too ).A sense of personal achievement is guarenteed. Ok lets think this through. Thish is a 30v 30. Naturally a single player cannot carry the team, however as you rank up ( which i think is XP based ) you do sense a feel of achievement or some ' i am doing this right ' notion which is cool.Competitive, for those who play this game with a serious note, it does get exciting as you brawl around with multiple tanks, outplay your opponents, use your view range and keep your engagements at long ranges as the size of the map allows you to do so much and makes your gameplay flexible at all times.Fun. I mean, i dont know how many will agree to this, but compared to the normal dread of Random tier 8 mm, Frontline has become a great way for credit and xp grind exspecially with boosters for meNow what are the things which kinda suck in this game mode1 FPS, need i say more, I feel WG could have reduced a lot of textures like army vans near spawn points etc.

It was too good of an experience. The best thing i like about the mode is the map.
Was having so much fun with this. If i was getting bogged down i just repositioned for a new line of attach or flanked around. Ability to move into other zones means you can get new angles for firing.As for the cons, i agree with them too. FPS: this is my biggest problem.
On the test server got about 50-60 fps but was getting 20-30 on live. Maybe it is the mods and i need to test it out, but still, i think wargaming should try optimizing the mode. But i think the mode is so much fun, i will play without mods just to get a good fps. Defense team did have the advantage. Especially since there was no way to platoon. At least in platoons you can make coordinated pushes. Presently it is all a mess and very rarely you can find people who communicate.
I was trying to communicate, but on SG server i have no idea if i was getting through or not. I played 3 battles, all as attackers and lost all 3, with the best performance being taking out 2.5 turrets. My usual platoonmate played 2 attack and 1 defence (he was in the enemy team when we tried sync dropping) and won the one he was defending.
Redzones: this was my issue also, sometimes we had the full first and second line and i could see enemy team tanks in the zone b or c. This was truly irritating as they would attack from the back and then a few of the attackers had to be diverted to them. I think once the zone is captured then the defenders should take damage for spending time in that zone like fire damage. Even if it is after the initial air strike.
Arty/ arty strike/ airstrike: I mean the fun police finds its way to each mode. The most dynamic mode WoT has seen in years with big open maps and so much good and all some people can think of is playing artillery or using artillery /airstrike. I have got hit by a strike once and it is not fun. I personally use recon. Because the credit and xp system is mainly same as the system and randoms and what does spotting give you? Half the damage that your allies did to the tanks you get spotted.
I was using this and getting a cool 2.5-3.5k spotting in the bargain. More xp and credits. And you can spot tanks over quite some range.As for the tanks the following are the ones i preferred:. Lorraine 40t: Autoloader. First clip reloads in half the time. So go in clip someone and fuck off to the repair zone, rinse and repeat.
Lack of armor hurts though if spotted. Centurion Mk.1: My most favorite tank in this mode. Decent mobility, good gun and great turret. Had so much fun using this tank. Progetto: this tank is made for this mode. Can be used as a clipper/ single shot.
The flexibility is too good. Better than the lorr imo. AMX 50 100: This tank is god like. Again like the lorraine, first clip loads in half the time, find some poor soul and dispatch him, reload and repeat. My highest damage was in this and the centurion.
Absolute beast tank in this mode. And this is without the top engine. I can't imagine how this would be with the top engine.Will be breaking out the TVP today as i have to grind it out in this mode. But my main tanks will be the 4 above.Considering everything this is a very promising mode and WG listens to all the feedback and makes this a permanent mode. The lorraine is beast and IMO better than progetto (might be partly by the crew I have in it)The surface of the map makes many people even less situationally aware so several times I had been able to flank around and put 2-3 whole clips into their sides before they even realized I was there.PS: If you wreck several players from some not so well guarded position be sure to fall back in max 2 mins because there is quite high chance that the exact player who you did wreck will come for you there. As of now, no team can be considered stronger.It was a similar development on the test server.
At first the defending team stomped. Then the attacking team gained an upper hand due to new tactics, such as dying quickly and allocating more tanks on a single front, and once that had been reinforced by the defenders the attackers went and capped another flank.This went back and forth for a while and never quite settled before release, but we'll have to see now that platoons are a thing.The only problem I have with the mode so far is how attacking seems way more fun since it's basically not about who is winning, but rather how fast the attackers are winning.
